SAFE Act

First Florida Credit Union SAFE Act Registration Disclosure.

In 2008, Congress implemented the Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) Act, designed to enhance consumer protection and reduce fraud by setting standards for licensing mortgage loan originators.

The Act requires credit union mortgage loan originators and their employing institutions to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).

Each employee of the credit union who acts as a mortgage loan originator must register with the Registry, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain this registration in accordance with the requirements of the Act. View a listing of registered mortgage loan originators for First Florida Credit Union, NMLS Company ID # 424215.

One of the objectives of the Act is to provide consumers with easily accessible information at no charge regarding mortgage loan originators. Visit the NMLS website.
