Location will be credit union’s 18th branch in the state and ninth in Northeast Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – First Florida Credit Union hosted a groundbreaking on its newest branch located at 279 Harper Lane, east of Julington Creek Plantation. The location will be the credit union’s 18th statewide branch and ninth in Northeast Florida.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Durbin Creek Crossing Branch, which was previously rescheduled due to inclement weather, was held on Friday, March 4 at 11:30 a.m.* First Florida Credit Union’s senior management team attended the ceremony along with members of its Board of Directors and Advisory Council, vendors, contractors, and community partners.  

Brent Lister, president and CEO of First Florida Credit Union, said the new location is an essential piece of the organization’s strategic plan to better serve its members by expanding across the region.

“First Florida Credit Union is thrilled to become part of this fast-growing community,” Lister said. “The Durbin Creek Crossing branch will offer the consistent, top-tier customer service our members have come to expect, with added conveniences that will make banking easier in St. Johns County.”
