Company named to competitive list for the fifth time.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – First Florida Credit Union earned the distinction of being one of Florida’s 100 Best Companies to Work For. This is the fifth time the credit union has obtained a spot on the list, which is published yearly by Florida Trend magazine. 

The company was the only credit union that received this honor among 32 mid-sized companies, which includes businesses in Florida with 50 - 249 employees. Michelle Troha, senior vice president of marketing at First Florida Credit Union, said leadership at the organization is thrilled to be included on the list once again. 

“Our company prides itself on maintaining a work space full of positivity and promise that enables our staff to succeed,” Troha said. “Our dedicated employees are our most valuable assets, and their satisfaction is our satisfaction.” 

Florida Trend partnered with Best Companies Group to determine the winning companies by surveying firms across the state. Employees were asked to provide input on a questionnaire that addressed company policies, practices, and demographics. In addition, a group of participants were randomly selected to respond anonymously to 72 statements on a five-point agreement scale. 

“FFCU continues to invest heavily in its company culture,” Troha said. “We know that the happiness of our employees extends to our customers, and we intend to preserve the positive environment we’ve created as we expand to serve even more communities in Florida.”
