Credit union ranked third in the midsized category of Florida Trend’s list

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – First Florida Credit Union was recently named one of the Best Companies To Work For In Florida, making it the eighth time the company earned this distinction from Florida Trend magazine. The company ranked third in the midsized category and is the only Jacksonville-based credit union recognized out of the 100 businesses named across all categories. 

The Best Companies To Work For In Florida is a survey and awards program dedicated to identifying and recognizing the area’s best employers and providing organizations with valuable employee feedback.

Brent Lister, president and CEO of First Florida Credit Union, said his company is pleased to be acknowledged by the magazine once again – especially during a year that brought so many challenges for employers and employees alike. 

“At First Florida Credit Union, we work proactively to ensure our employees have a safe, enriching place to grow in their careers, along with a true support system from our leadership team,” Lister said. “Communication with staff was among the key components for the foundation of our collective success, and we will continue to prioritize the physical, mental and emotional health of our employees.”

Companies that chose to participate in Florida Trend’s Best Companies to Work For In Florida were evaluated based on their workplace culture, environment, engagement, development, and demographics. The process also included a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

Best Companies To Work For In Florida was created by Florida Trend and Best Companies Group and is endorsed by the HR Florida State Council.
